Free Flow Power’s second group of Projects in Washington State consists of four diversion Projects to be constructed on four smaller waterways in the Eastern part of the state: Martin Creek, Barclay Creek, Ruth Creek, and Swamp Creek. As diversion Projects, these Projects do not use existing dams to generate electricity; rather a portion of the river’s flow is redirected into a pipe, at the bottom of which sits a powerhouse. After passing through the powerhouses’ turbines, water is returned to its original course. The four Projects will produce 19.1 MW and 76.2 GWh annually.
